Walter Baumhofer was hailed as “The King of the Pulps” by collectors, authors, artists and publishers.  Although his stay in the pulps was barely more than a decade, his work left a lasting impression upon those artists who picked up their paint pallets and tried to duplicate Walter’s work and especially young readers who month after month delighted in his four color depictions of action and adventure that graced the magazines of the “Golden Age” of the PULPS!  From DOC SAVAGE to FIRE FIGHTERS to DIME WESTERN, Walter Baumhofer’s art and style was copied but never equaled.
